Thanks to some bloggy friends Sami and Evelyn and their great idea to host a 12 days of Christmas swap…Kenz and I have decided to host our own…
Not only do I get one partner here…I have another awesome partner over there. Two times the Christmas Spirit…I LOVE IT!

I'm so excited to host a 12 Days of Christmas swap with one of my bloggy besties, Kenz ! If you're not already following her then head over and say hi. She's awesome so you'll be glad you did.
Anyway, Kenz and I love presents so we've decided to host a fabulous swap. :) Our plan is to assign partners then create packages with 12 little gifts inside - each wrapped separately so that we all have gifts to open for the 12 days leading up to Christmas. :)
Here is a list of the particulars that you need to know if you plan to participate:
* You must have a blog to participate! It's important because participants will be asked to post about the event on their blogs too. We want to see what everyone receives! :)
* This swap is only open to bloggers in the US. I heart my international friends, but shipping will be too complicated at this time of year. We should have come up with this idea sooner, right? ;)
* Don't be cheap! The gifts don't need to be expensive! They just need to be thoughtful and fun to receive. Fill the package with gifts that you'd like to receive. :) Think about how you want to feel when you open your package, and add a little "wow" to your gifts. You get the idea, right?
Here are some ideas in case you need examples:
~your favorite lotion
~Christmas ornament
~favorite candy or healthy food item
Find out things about your partner...this is also supposed to help you gain friends :) Have tons of fun with it!
* Each gift MUST be individually wrapped. You can number the gifts so your partner knows what to open each day or just write a note that it's okay to open them in any order.
* The package must be mailed out by Thursday, December 9...so that they can start opening their 12 days of Christmas on the 13th...please don't be that person that sends it late...
So here's what to do:
* Add a link to your blog at the bottom of this post
* Leave a comment with your e-mail address so we know how to contact you.
* Post about the swap on your blog and link back so others can join. Hey..they more the merrier right? :)
* Sign up before Friday, Dec. 3rd at noon central time.
* Wait for an e-mail with your swap partner's information and blog address.

A little over a week ago my friends Leslie, Leslie and Alvin all came in from out of town to participate in the Warrior Dash…it was SO MUCH FUN! I highly highly recommend you do this if it comes near you…

On top of that…my dad lives about a mile from where it was…so we got to hose off in their front yard and take warm showers and drive home clean…
What a great day! A great event…with great friends!

And a big shout out to Alvin for hanging with me…it was much appreciated!
I had a great Thanksgiving day…it was a day full of activity, family and football…loved it all!
It all started at the Turkey Trot…where my nieces, Reese and I jogged and walked 5 miles…in 80 degree weather!
They didn’t know it…but we were participating in Alissa’s Thankful Healthy Blogger…
We then ran home and I showered and we went back downtown for the Aggie Parade…I LOVE THIS TRADITION!
Reese got a little scared by the Fighin’ Texas Aggie Band…poor baby!
Then on to Thanksgiving with family…followed by Thanksgiving at my dad’s…All 13 of us together…to watch the game and give thanks!
And the game had a very happy ending for our little Aggie family…a little ESPN coverage that made me chuckle…
There you have it…I am thankful for the men and women that fight for our country to give us the freedom to enjoy our family and friends on such a great day!
How was your Thanksgiving?
I love surprises! I love sending out good mail…the feeling of knowing the smile it puts on someone else's face when they get an awesome surprise in the mail that they were not expecting. Knowing it made their day…it is just a great feeling!
2 weeks ago I got one of those packages…one that made my day…it was an awesome surprise and so very very thoughtful…and I just have to share!
My friend Jenn lives in Atlanta…and she knows my love of Trader Joe’s and my infatuation with Pumpkin anything…she also knew just what I needed to see and read…

Jenn what you did was amazing…not because of the things you bought me…but because your thoughtfulness helped me see…see that I am blessed in so many ways.
This year has been a year long pity party for myself. And in the last month or so I have lost people that mean so very much to me because I was blind and didn’t see what I had before it was too late. One day I hope they can see that I never meant to push them away. I never meant to take them for granted…
I am working one day at a time to get back to me…to the me that was happy and knew what she had was great…I will get there! I will NOT give up!
So take some time today to put a smile on someone’s face…sometimes all it takes it the cost of a stamp…
