What is up Wednesday

I am…
WAY PAST READY!
May 14, 2007 I walked into WW ready to change my life. I went into it full steam ahead. Obviously I had my ups and downs but man was I on fire. I meant business.
Things slowed down because life was being lived but I always kept my eye on the prize. In my head that prize was GOAL! Never was I thinking about the things that got me to 3oo pounds. Never was I working on dealing with my emotional issues. I was happy…or I thought I was happy. Who knows…all I know is I thought hitting my goal weight was the prize.
Somewhere along the way I wish I would have realized that this was life and the only prize was being healthy…not fitting into skinnier clothes. Along the way I wish I would have dealt with what caused me to weight 300 pounds. Along the way I wish I would have learned more instead of just doing what was “right”.
I remember sitting in meetings and hearing people come back after gaining weight and in my pea brain head I thought that would NEVER be me. I was determined to not be one of THOSE people…like it was such a horrible thing. It isn’t. It wasn’t. I had to learn that THOSE people are now ME.
I AM THAT PERSON.
It is FREAKING time to stop pretending that I am not…
I have gained weight back…DUH.
I am not fooling anyone…anyone that knows me knows that I have gained weight.
What is important is that I am now doing something about it. I can’t tell you what clicked…maybe it was when I cancelled my WW membership a few weeks ago. I think it triggered something in my brain.
I kept my membership even though I wasn’t doing ANYTHING that resembled WW. I was doing the Janna plan…and guess what? IT DOESN’T WORK…again…DUH! When I cancelled my membership I felt like I was really giving up. That I thought I really couldn’t do it.
THAT IS CRAP! I can do it…I WILL DO IT!
Something clicked this week and I have a plan, well actually…WW has a plan and I am following it.
In the coming weeks I am getting back on track. Getting back in the grove. Getting back to Janna.
This time I will do it right. I will figure out the reasons I got to where I was, where I am now and where I will be.
I will be successful at this thing called life. It is mine to live and I choose to live it in a healthy manner!
My membership runs out on April 16th and that very next week I will be joining WW with a clean slate. I will have a new starting weight. I will celebrate every 5 pounds lost. I will celebrate my 5%, my 10%, my 16 weeks…every single thing will be new. I am even taking it as far as going to a different center, to a different leader…I want a fresh start.
So please…if I don’t post on Wednesdays and tell you how things are going…CALL ME OUT! I am ready for some accountability!

Sunday Fun Day…

You pack up the dogs and grab some water and just go be one with nature…
It was a beautiful and challenging hike…both dogs and I are EXHAUSTED!

Cleaning out the clutter…is so amazingly freeing! I worked hard…but it was WORTH IT!

Spring Swap
I feel SO lucky to have met such a great swap partner. Emily and I have become fast friends and I feel BLESSED to know her!
Emily sent me some GREAT and FUN stuff…and you know who wasn’t left out :)
Reese wants to Thank Winston for such great gifts :)

A stationary set…which will come in handy!
An apron, post it notes, a photo album (with my word of the year :)), a BEAUTIFUL picture frame…which now hosts a picture of Reese, Mallory and I.
Easter decorations, a sign for my place, more stuff for Reese…and TOATLLY true! and a fantastic smelling candle!
Emily is AMAZING…she has patience to deal with me and my not so fabulous post office…she still hasn’t received her package…and I am heading out soon to replace everything. (NO ARGUING EMILY!!)
I am really enjoying getting to know her…and big thanks to her mom for helping pick stuff out too!

It has been fun to go around this week and see what everyone has been getting…I hope you all had fun and with the exception of 2 lost packages and one other little issue I think we had a great swap!

Friday Confessional

I confess that I have a professional organizer coming to my apartment tomorrow morning to help me organize and simplify my life…
I confess that I am REALLY excited and nervous about this. I want less around me…and I want it to be organized :)
I confess that I am ready to work my ARSE off to be organized by the end of the weekend.
I confess that I am very VERY sad that Scentsy discontinued my favorite scent (Coconut Citrus Parfait)
…and now I must find a new one to love. Any suggestions?
I confess that I am TOATLLY over this work week :)
I confess that I think that my dog has issues and they are because I spoil her…she has had some serious anxiety in the mornings…so we have a vet appointment this morning to get shots and talk about this…I really hope she has some great suggestions…do you have any?

My new coworker and friend got a new dog yesterday from the Humane Society…introducing London…the sweetest most handsome boy around…

I was really ill last night...and the dogs just chilling out and letting me just be made me happy...she was wishing she was outside :)
Random Thoughts
I have random thoughts…we all do…I am just going to put some of them up here :)
~ I have to be honest…I didn’t take Reese for a walk. Instead I slept in WAY to late. Rushed to get ready, went to work with wet hair and was upset with myself YET again for not getting up and being able to take my time. REALLY glad I grabbed my flatiron before I left home :)
~ I wonder if I will EVER EVER be a morning person?
~ I am however VERY glad that I got ready for the week ahead of time so I didn’t have to have a melt down…
~ I went out for drinks after work with my bosses…it was cheap Mexican Martini therapy…and actually…I had a great time!
~ I reached out to an old friend that I had a falling out with…I hope that we can at least talk.
~ I am SO excited about my Spring Swap partners getting their packages…that and others getting some mail that I sent out last week! I LOVE doing that!
~ Is it too soon to wish it was Friday?
~ I love the show Mad Love…it is stinking cute and I love Jason Bigg…
~ When this publishes I will be well on my way to San Marcos for a conference…YEAH….not in the office for a whole day!\
~ Tonight is book club…I LOVE BOOK CLUB!! Hi Amy! Hi Kelly!
~ I love my friends…they rock!

Monday Mail Day
So one of my “resolutions” this year was to:
~ Write Happy Mail. I love sending mail to my friends and family…I think I should make more of an effort to do it more often!
I have to say I have been kicking butt at doing this. I have had so much fun sending out letters and cards…I hope that all the folks on the receiving end have been enjoying them.
I plan on keeping this up…it brings me just as much joy :)
On that note…Two weeks ago I had an AMAZING mail Monday…
First was a SWEET card and REALLY cute Coffee Sleeve from my dear friend Aubrey…Aubrey…thanks again!
Up next…a post card from my snail mail swap partner Liz…whom I have grown to LOVE so much! I got a post card and my last 2 snail mail packages from her…LOVED THEM! Thanks again Liz!

Next up was Marchmas from one of my dearest friend’s Anika…there was a delay in getting out Christmas this year…and it wasn’t just on her end…mine just went out last week too…I kind of like Marchmas :)
