Sunday Trip To Aggieland!

So if you didn't know...I have 9 nieces and nephews! My brother has 2 kids (Thomas and Mallory), my step sister has 4 kids (Sarah, Ashley, Andrew and Megan), my friend Misty has 2 kids (Eddie and Tucker) and Dusty has 1 (Hunter). Count them up...among MANY other friends who have kids and that makes for some FUN Nana or Aunt Janna days! I LOVE spoiling them all!

Well this past Sunday was a fun Aunt Janna day with Sarah (14) and Megan (9). We took a trip to Aggieland...oh how I love Aggieland! For those who don't know Aggieland is College Station, Texas home of Texas A&M University! Just pulling into town makes me so happy!

The reason for our visit was to watch the Lady Aggies take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders in Volleyball. Sarah is a freshman and has decided that volleyball is her sport! So off we went!

I drove them around the campus, showing them what I know about the school and telling them about all the traditions. We stopped at the local grocery store to pick up some Aggie reusable bags...(in Austin they are YUCKY ORANGE!) Went by a couple of bookstores, FINALLY found an Aggie Volleyball shirt! Then we headed for the game. The tickets were so inexpensive and we got GREAT seats!

The girls...well mostly Sarah was in AWE. The players were so tall and their hits were AMAZING!

The games were good...the Aggies stomped Tech and it was all over fairly quickly! During intermission we got a picture with the girls and the yell leaders (we don't have cheerleaders!).

After the game we patiently waited for Sarah's player Sarah Ammerman. My Sarah was in AWE when Sarah came out of the locker room and they had the sweetest conversation. By far the highlight of my day to have my niece look up to someone that is worthy of looking up to!

By the end of the day my Sarah was talking like she would be playing there in 4 years...OH HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE!

My words to Sarah...reach for the stars and dream BIG!

I hope she knows how proud I am of her. She makes my heart smile! She works so hard and goes after what she wants...KEEP GOING SARAH! I have NO doubt that you will land EXACTLY where you want!

Aggie Volleyball T-shirt $15
Ticket to the Volleyball game $4
Sarah meeting her favorite player: PRICELESS!

Thanks for spending the day with me girls...and for putting up with my Aggie love and shopping! One day I will completely wash the yucky orange right out of your systems!

Love you!

A Weekly Update

First, I stink at keeping up with blogging! Didn't I JUST say last week that I would work on it? You would think it wouldn't be that hard since I sit down and catch up on all my favorite blogs just about every night!

This weeks weigh in results:

Down 1.4! That is a total of 5.2 pounds since I walked back into WW. YEAH!

Amy was down 1.6...GO AMY!

Marissa is going to WI tomorrow! Good Luck Marissa!

My other blog buddies all had great weeks too!
  • Angie -1.6
  • Lynn -1
  • Crystal -1.4
  • Jenny -2 (and her first 5 pound star!!)
Look at us go! If I left you off my apologies! I will start keeping a better list :)

Other Random Things from the week:
  • Jen has an AWESOME cookbook on sale and 4 of the $5 dollars she is charging goes to charity! Yours truly has a recipe in there! GO GET IT!
  • I found a website that I am loving and you can add it to your google reader! Fitsugar! Has some great tips and tools!
  • After SERIOUS anxiety I have finally ordered my dress for Autumn's wedding! I am so freaked out about it, but I know after 4 months of hard work, I will be just fine!
  • I had so much fun at Chris Young with Suzi! Thank you Suzi for going with me! Sorry for the drama...but the show and the company were GREAT!

  • I got an email today from the writer who did a story about me in All You back in 2006. She is looking at writing another piece about my weight loss. We shall see how it goes! I will let you know when I know something!
  • My parents joined the land of facebook...this should be fun! :)
  • Bailey is staying with my dad this week since I am going to Colorado. I swear Bailey loves my dad more than he loves me! Thanks Dad and Teresa! I love knowing he is happy and in good hands!
Wreck Update:

If you didn't know I was in a wreck on November 5th. This whole thing has been such a nightmare and is causing all sorts of chaos in my life. First this guys insurance is trying to blame it on me. I was sitting at a stoplight. Second, still no police report. Third, my car is still sitting in the garage at work. No work has been done on it and I have no idea when it will start. Fourth, I am in PAIN!

I can't sleep in my own bed, I can't sit in a chair for very long. My neck hurts, my back hurts, my knee hurts. AND IT SUCKS! I had a long conversation with my lawyer the other day and I told him that I can't stop living my life. I have things coming up in my life and I have goals to reach and I can't stop living life because of the pain. And I won't stop writing about my life on facebook or my blog. He agreed with me and told me not to stop. I did promise to use this as my journal about my pain level. So there you have it folks! I have to move forward! And while that might include some pain...I have to do it for me!

Along those lines I had a couple of days this week where I hid from the world and only ventured out because I had to. I hate having these days, but with so much going on and trying to be everything for everyone I had to take some time out for me. Was it productive, not in the slightest! But I needed a mental health day for Janna. All the drama and crap that has been going on for awhile caught up to me. Hopefully it is behind me and I have done what I needed to do to rid some of the problems from my life. Fingers crossed!

Great changes may not happen right away, but with effort even the difficult may become easy.

Didn't see that coming...

I HAD A LOSS TONIGHT! .6 and I will TAKE IT!

I really thought I had blown any chance I had this week of showing a loss with my little cake/pizza incident on Friday. Followed by my not so great tracking on Saturday. It just goes to show you that you can have a little something every now and then! But that my friends will not be the norm!

You see I have a dress I have to order this week and fit into by the end of March and I want to look HOT (well not hotter than Autumn, but close :))!

I am worried about this week. Work is getting crazier and it stresses me OUT! I know it gets this way before the holidays and there is a light/reward of 2 weeks off at Christmas, but I have to make it to that point!

Here are some goals I am going to work towards this week:
  • Tracking every bite that goes into my mouth!
  • Taking work one day at a time
  • Making and taking my meals to work, so that there is no chance for stress eating!
  • Not partaking in the Thanksgiving potluck, not even 1 bite! (Friday)
  • Cleaning/Organizing one room every other day in my apartment
  • Retreiving my Christmas Decorations from storage
  • Taking at least 3 classes at the gym
  • Walking or Biking to work at least one day this week
That is enough for now...a million things are going through my head as far as things I need to get done, but I need to stop trying to do it all at once and just make a plan of attack!

What about you, what are your goals for the week?

It is easier to suppress the first desire than to satisfy all that follow.

Giveaway

My most fabulous blog designer, Jessica is hosting a cool giveaway! Go check it out and get on her list to have her design you a new, fabulous, kick butt blog!

Tell her I said HI!

You can

Thank me later...

The girls and I went to Wal-Mart to get get their new shuffles on Friday night and we were grabbing some food items for the weekend while we were there. So I went to the refrigerated section to get some Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding and above that was this pretty little box.

They laughed at me because I got so excited, but COME ON! 60 Calories, Sugar Free, and DARK CHOCOLATE! I was in HEAVEN and that was before I even took it home and consumed it. It was FREAKIN' FANTASTIC! It was like a little piece of cake in every bite! I highly recommend you RUN out and grab them! Here is a little
coupon to make it even better! It comes in 3 flavors but I still only see dark chocolate!

Let me know what you think!

CRAZY!

This has been one insanely CRAZY week! People have been sick at work, work has been so busy, doctor's appointments, car stuff, girlfriend time, niece's 13th birthday party dinners, double baby showers at work, life...I feel like I haven't had a chance to breathe in days!

There were many points this week where I wondered if I was going to make it to the end of the week. I ALMOST broke down a few times, but I held it together and got it done!

Food wise it was mostly good. On Friday I let the stress of it all get to me for a few moments of weakness called cake and pizza. But I pulled it together and stopped the madness!

I have to show you the journal for Thursday because my dad gave me the "dad look" about having a couple of fries off my niece's plate. I don't know how many times I have to tell them that I CAN EAT WHAT I WANT, as long as I am in control and it is in moderation! My nieces think it is funny to go back and tell my dad when I have had something "bad"...but I think they have all gotten the point that they should cut that crap out. I am an adult and what goes in my mouth is my CHOICE!

So here you go dad...the fries are accounted for!

Friday was the pizza/cake day...I don't really know how to count it, so in my head all my "flex points" are gone!

Saturday Ashley (the newly 13 year old) and I went to help out my friend LuAnn with some beautiful weddings! We had a fun Aunt/Niece day and got to see pretty places and pretty flowers! All in all a great day! Food wise, I thought I was good until I just wrote it all in the journal. EEK! What are you going to do?

Moving on, today is a new day and I will make a plan and stick to it!

Today was about getting caught up on laundry and downloading Ashley's birthday present to my itunes so she can put it on her new shuffle that my brother and I got her for her birthday...ready for this...it is the Jonas Brothers...ugh! The good news is she put a lot of Aunt Janna's good music on it already! :) Hopefully I can steer them into great musical taste!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Big shout out to my blog buddies that weighed in this weekend! Angie, Lynn, Jenny and Crystal!

Tomorrow is the day for
Marissa, Amy and I! WHOOOO!

Holy GRAPE Batman!

Today has been a day...not good or bad, just a day!

Food wise it was fine...back in the swing of things and in control again of what I put in my mouth...even when I go out to lunch with LuAnn...which was a nice mid day surprise!

Today I got an advance copy of the new John Mayer CD from someone that I work with (it is good to know people who know people) and...it is AWESOME! I haven't stopped listening to it since I got my hands on it!

Wreck Update:
Still in pain, still getting the run around from my OWN doctor and the other guy's insurance company...so instead of dealing with it myself...I got a lawyer! Now he can deal with it!

First order of business...seeing someone about my back! He got me an appointment at a wellness center at 5:30 today. Tag team duo did a massage and an adjustment. Thank you Dr. Funk...you guys ROCK! I am now sitting on my couch in much less pain than I was in at 5 PM today.

Tomorrow is dinner with the girls to celebrate my birthday...and hopefully find out some details about Autumn's upcoming wedding! It is an exciting time!

Other than that, I don't really have much for you today...other than the biggest grape I have EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE! And I had about 5 of them!

3.2

WI was tonight and I have 3.2 more REASONS FOR LOVING WW AGAIN!!!

I AM BACK!

I have no idea how to wrap up the last 2 days in one blog post that won’t be a million miles long or put you to sleep, but I am going to try!

The Ride Up:

I got a call on Saturday morning from Dusty asking if I could go grab the boys from Misty and bring them to her in Dallas…no problem I was going to go see her anyway! So I grab my nephews Eddie (7) and Tucker (1). We get in the car and I have the new Miranda Lambert CD in and Misty leans in and tells me…Tucker loves #6 he will start dancing. #6 starts…Tucker starts dancing in his car seat…FREAKING ADORABLE! It made my heart SMILE!

Some interesting things I learned from a VERY VERY SMART 7 year old on the way to Dallas.

  • He liked my rental car and informed me that it gets good gas mileage and GM makes a good product (his exact words)
  • He wants to be a garbage truck driver or build 4x4 trucks-I tried to convince him to get into NASCAR and build cars
  • He loves Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift we sang the entire way to Dallas!
  • He knows how to read the speedometer…and he knew that I was speeding! (Note to self, put Eddie on the other side of the car, so he can’t rat me out, whoops…I just did that)

Lunch:

We got to Dallas just about the time Tucker woke up from his little car nap and met Dusty and Hunter (another nephew) for lunch. We sat on the patio because it was such a beautiful day and let the boys have free reign since no one else was out there! Ms. Laurie (from Chicago 3-day fame) also joined us…so we had some girl time! It was much needed and lots of fun!

AMY TIME!

From there I left the boys with Dusty and drove to Grapevine to meet my blog friend Amy! Her little girl Jules was with her and we walked and talked around the 1 mile loop of the mall. I think we almost made it around twice…how is that for a first meet up! We had a GREAT time talking and getting to know each other! I am glad we finally got it to work out! It is going to be a great friendship! There might have also been some shopping involved! It was a MALL for crying outloud! We did actually have to leave the mall to find exactly what Amy needed but we did find it at my tried and true Khol’s! Thanks for the fun times Amy! Can’t wait for you to come down! We already have some plans in the works for next month!

Babes Time:

After I left Amy and Jules I grabbed a quick grilled chicken sandwich and a Starbuck drink and headed to April’s. Lauren was in town visiting (she left the great state of Texas and moved to Colorado!) I got there and they were getting ready for our night out on the town. Well…while we were sitting there getting ready, I might have gotten talked into the most FANTASTIC trip for Thanksgiving weekend! I will share more VERY soon!

We all decided to put on sexy shoes and jeans and go dance the night away. Great idea…in theory! Not such a good idea for someone that just got in a wreck! I was the designated driver and I got us safely to the Granada in Dallas to see Galactic. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN! Just being girls and dancing and taking TONS of pictures! It was such a fun night. Although I couldn’t stand up front all night like they did. I had to take it easy and go sit on my butt! I should have worn better shoes!

More Babes Time:

The next morning we all got up and got dressed…they were going on a COOL bike ride to have brunch with more Babes and I was going to the NASCAR race…it was great to see some of the other girls before they left on their ride! Next time…I AM SO GOING!

Redneck Time:

I don’t know why. I can’t explain it. And I quit trying to years ago, but I really like NASCAR. I like going to the races, I like watching them on TV. It is something I enjoy. I know how it started but I don’t know why it sticks around. But I go with it and enjoy it! My former sales manager had an extra ticket and asked me to join them! Free NASCAR…even better! So that was the reason that the Dallas trip started in the first place! So I left the girls and drove to the track and had a nice conversation with my friend on the way. I hope she got a kick out of the play by play as I was walking through the camp grounds to find my friend.

If you have never been it is a great experience. Everyone is so excited and happy and it is just great to feel that for a couple of hours! On top of the sights are the sounds and smells…there is nothing like it! Needless to say my boy is not having a great year and it looks like the crap luck continues! He did race well all day, but something happened in the end!

Back Home:

I left with 40 laps left so that I could walk the mile and a half back to my car and get a jump on traffic. I hit my car just as the race ended…jumped on the highway and thought I was set. NOT SO MUCH! It took me over 2 hours to get to Dusty’s house to get the boys. Oh well! I had the new Carrie Underwood CD and I LOVE IT!

It was so sweet to have them both sleeping soundly in the back of the car on the way back…another smile for my heart!

So there you have it! Thanks for sticking around…that was a long recap!

Things to Note:

  • I didn’t have a SUPER great food weekend, but I did the best I could and I did NOT stop for the fries that I was SO craving on the way home last night!
  • My blog friends Angie and Lynn had their first WI’s and they did GREAT!
  • I have a new motivational partner and I can’t wait to get to know her!
  • I can’t wait to tell you guys where I am going for Thanksgiving!

It is FINALLY HERE!

Bet you have never seen someone so excited to get her butt on the scale tonight! I am ready to see the fruits of my labor. In my head it officially signals the real work has begun and I AM strong enough to do this!

I will be back around lunch time to give you the update of all the fun shenanigans from the weekend...it was a GREAT WEEKEND!

See you tonight Amy and Marissa!

Optimism is essential to achievement and it is also the foundation of courage and true progress.

What A DAY!

So woke up this morning a bit stiff and sore from the accident, but there was no rest for the weary! I had to get up and get stuff done today! Here is my day in a nut shell!

  • Woke up late...whoops!
  • Went out to check out the damage in the daylight and get some more pictures
  • Showered
  • Called my insurance agent to start the process
  • Went to work
  • Monthly Staff Meeting that ran until 10:15
  • Finally got into my office
  • Checked my voice mail, already had a claim number from my insurance company (THANK YOU STATE FARM)
  • Called and gave my info to his insurance company
  • Talked to my adjuster, got the rental car reserved
  • All while working
  • Left at 11:30 for a Bowling Team Builder
  • Couldn't bowl, too much pain
  • Checked on the others that were in the accident, everyone seems to be ok, all in a wee bit of pain!
  • Ran food for everyone while they were bowling (lots of fries and hamburgers...not even a bit tempted!)
  • Last person had tater tots...I took 1...1 Tator tot...that my friends...is a HUGE VICTORY!
  • I had a grilled chicken salad...at the bowling alley! GO ME!
  • Left bowling picked up my cute new sporty rental car (I will take a picture)
  • Got back to pure INSANITY at work!
  • Left work just in time to make it to my after hours doctors appointment to get my back, neck and knee checked out.
  • Snuck in a stop at Starbucks...I earned it!
  • Amy and I were there at the same time making sure all was good with our bodies
  • Don't know anything yet, but the ball is rolling!
  • If I want it pain meds are available
  • 8 PM...home and on the couch! NOT MOVING UNTIL I GET UP TOMORROW MORNING!

Tomorrow is going to be a great day! I get to meet my blog friend Amy, hang out with April and the gang and then Sunday...I get to be a redneck for the day and have fun at Texas Motor Speedway, THANK YOU ROBERT!

It is going to be a very interesting weekend balancing being good and having fun, but I have done it before and I will do it again!

Today food wise was VERY weird and I managed to get most of the GHG taken care of at the end of the day...

What are you guys up to this weekend?

BOOOM!

Yesterday was A GREAT DAY! Beautiful weather, food was on target and under control, I feel good, I am happy, I had Marc Broussard and GREAT friends to look forward to!

We went to dinner last night, my first time out since I came back and the waiter couldn't have been more awesome and patient! I got plain chicken not cooked in butter or oil, steamed veggies with the veggies I don't like taken out. A plain salad with a fat free dressing. Stayed away from the bread and the blooming onion. It was a HUGE success! And to make it even better, I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything! Good food, GREAT friends!

So we are headed to the concert. Split into 2 cars. Suzi and gang in her car. Amy & I in mine. ALMOST to the show, stopped at a light and I see it coming. Here comes this car FLYING down 5th Street. I knew he wasn't going to be able to stop so I told Amy to hold on. He SLAMS into me and we SLAM into Suzi! REALLY! I just hit my friend, WHOOPS! I am not going to lie...it HURT! When I got out of the car I was a mess, shaking and trying to figure out if we were all really ok. We were...I think and bet we are all REALLY sore today! Amy and I got it twice!

The guy got out holding his wrist and his car was full of smoke from the busted radiator. He didn't speak english. He just kept telling me he was sorry in spanish.

Because we were downtown, a cop had heard it at the light and before we had really walked around, we had 5 cop cars surrounding us! Thank you APD!

Long and short, he got the ticket. He had to be towed. We all exchanged information. And then we continued on to the show. After all...WE LOVE MARC! While it was a AMAZING show...we were all hurting at the end and kept taking breaks and going to sit down. I have to say I was disappointed that Marc didn't come out after the show. He ALWAYS comes out. But this time he apparently sold meet and greets...thanks for going big time on us Marc! But I still love him and it was still a great show!

Now...off to figure out what to do with the insurance companies!

Wish I had a picture of the gang...but we never got one!

Whooo Wednesday!

Another good day in the books! I have decided to get the food part under control this week and then get back to it on the exercise front next week! Kind of two fold really, first, I want to make sure that I am 100% in it and doing it by the rules! Second, this time change is kicking my rear! If I see that it is dark outside at 6:30 PM, I think it is time to go to bed. So I need to get used to it!

Today was a great day food wise! I tried some new things out...and I am very excited about how they turned out! I grabbed some new spices at the store today along with some Jenny O Ground Turkey. Added in some frozen stir fry veggies...and it was AWESOME! I should have taken a picture of the finished product. I promise I will next time!

Thank you guys for all the comments and encouragement! I am so glad that we have each other to lean on!

Tomorrow one of my favorite musicians is coming to town...I can't wait to see Marc Broussard again! It is going to be a night of great friends and great music!

How was your Wednesday?

Think Through...

So another great day in the books! The ONLY thing I would have changed about this day was getting up! I woke up early, earlier than I normally do and instead of using it as a chance to go workout, I goofed around on the internet! Next time I will not make that mistake!

So last week as I was gearing up and realizing that it was time to get back to it, I happened to listen to an old Jillian Michael's podcast that I have on my nano. It was a great show and I actually stopped what I was doing and started jotting down some of the things that she was saying.

Here are the highlights:
  • Bring awareness and consciousness to the choice you are making
  • Think THROUGH the choice
  • Quit being self destructive
  • When you feel like you can't, look at what you have achieved
  • If you can be strong in those things, you CAN be strong in this
  • Don't reward yourself with food
All GREAT advice, no matter how you look it at, and no matter how you apply it to your current situation. She also suggested making a list of your accomplishments, so that you can go back and reference just how strong you are.

So here is just a quick list of things that I can think of off the top of my head...from just this year alone.
  • A 25K Trail Run
  • Ran my first mile without stopping
  • Ran my first 5K
  • Ran a 10K
  • Ran another 5K with a friend and beat my time
  • Competed in and completed my first Triathlon
  • Walked 2 3-Days (60 Miles each)
  • Hit Goal (and working on getting back there)
  • Survived my first broken heart
  • Made new friends from all over the place!
  • Walked back into WW to face the big plus!
Wow! I got a little teary eyed just then thinking about what a great year this has been! I really am WAY stronger than I think I am.

What about you? What are your accomplishments? Make your list! Remember that we are ALL strong enough to do this!

The Day That Was:

As you can see...I forgot my oil. So I just went and "drank" my 2 teaspoons...guess that will teach me not to forget it again!

OUCH!

So yesterday was filled with MANY MANY emotions! I was STOKED to be back on plan. I felt like the old Janna and I remembered how much I liked that old Janna. The one that was in control, that had a plan, that executed the plan, that reached out for support, that gave support. It was a good day.

Up until about an hour before it was time to go weigh in...then I was nauseous Janna. Nervous Janna. Scared Janna. Ready to run for the hills Janna. Then it came...the text from my friend Marissa, telling me she was just as nervous as I was! Ok, I can do this! I decided to head to the meeting early so I could weigh in alone and have my nervous breakdown alone. Well Marissa had the same idea and we meet there at the same time and stood side by side on the scales to face the music together.

Guess what?

We didn't fall apart. We saw it as the starting point. My leader asked us if we wanted to "start over" so that we didn't see the plus sign. NO! I came to see that plus, to own up to the plus, and remember why there was a plus! This isn't something I can hide from, it is something I can learn from!

So there you have it...the plus was large, but I did it to myself! And now, I am undoing it and moving on! This is my time and I am so excited that I have found my mojo again! I didn't know if I could or would...and now I know that I am strong enough and ready again!

Marissa, Amy...thank you BOTH so much for doing this with me! I am honored to be back at it with you two!

Back to the day:

Yesterday started bright and early at 5 AM because it was my early day at work. It made it a rough day food wise because I felt hungry alot during the day. This is something that I will have to work through again to figure out the best times to eat and how to spread out my points. It is a learning process and it will soon pass!

So for today you get a picture of my food journal...it was a good day!

Thanks for hanging out with me on my journey! It is going to be a good one!

How was YOUR day yesterday?

One final thing Marissa wrote the sweetest blog about us...first thank you for the sweet words Marissa, but most importantly...remember that an email, a text message, a facebook comment...simple words can mean so much to a person...and sometimes you have NO idea what it means! So take a moment today and reach out to someone. You never know what it could mean to them!

Today is THE day!

Today is the day…tonight by 6 PM I will have weighed in and faced the music. I have to say I woke up this morning with this new found energy! I think I am just ready to get back to it! I am tired of feeling crappy!

The signs are EVERYWHERE! Pointing me back in the right direction!

First my friend Amy is going to help me stay accountable and make me get on the scale…even when I don’t want too! I told her to use force if needed! Amy and I used to be neighbors and we have turned out to be great friends and I feel lucky to have her support through this and to even be able to support her while she goes through it!

My friend Marissa is also going to join us at the meetings! She inspires me and I will be glad to see her!

LuAnn who I know will be there whenever I need a workout buddy! We now have a common goal to look good in Autumn’s pictures!

My BFF from high school Sara. While we were walking the Race for the Cure we decided that we need to meet up a couple of times a week and walk! And we are even planning on participating in a couple of the holiday walks coming up!

My blog friend Jen for putting together this COOL program! You should go check it out and sign up!

My other blog friend Angie for having the courage to walk into WW and share her journey with us!

Just to name a few! There are MANY MANY others that help me along the way everyday! Dusty, my dad, Anika...this list could go on FOREVER!

My friends the signs are everywhere! Now is the time…at least for me! Is it your time too?

Stay tuned!

Back to What Works...

So for the last 6 months or so I have been having one big gigantic pity party! I let all of the stuff going on in and around my life just throw me off the tracks. That ends NOW! I have to make the choice to do something about it and I think now is the perfect time!

For the first time in a long time I am headed back to what works for me. That is Weight Watchers! I have to go back and honestly work the plan the way it was meant to be worked. That means a lot of things for me.

  • No more playing games
  • Tracking
  • Working Out
  • Limiting the eating out
  • No adult beverages until I get back to goal
  • Weighing in NO MATTER WHAT-there will be a sticker in my book EVERY week!
  • Being Accountable to some friends and blog folks

Other things it means is getting my head and heart straight. I let a looming date dictate my life only to find out it won't be happening. So time to strap on the big girl panties and get back to it!

On top of all this...I am going to be in a
GREAT friend's wedding in March and I want to look my best for all of her pictures! She only deserves the best and that means Janna at her best!

So there you have it folks! This girl is back in the game and for those that know me, you know that means you better watch out!

My plan is to blog most days and let you know how I am feeling and what is going on in my world. I hope you stick around for the journey! This time, there won't be any going back!

“Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it.”

Fun Day in Atlanta

So after all the walking we needed a FUN day! We "slept" in for a bit in a swanky hotel room at Hotel Indigo in downtown Atlanta. (THANK YOU JULES for the hookup!)

We contacted Jenn and got our plan together! First we met for brunch at The West Egg. OMG it was SO GOOD! Just look at this Pumpkin Spice Latte!

Anika and I both had Fried Green Tomato Egg Wraps with a biscuit on the side :) We sat around for a good 2 hours just talking and catching up. It was fun to have some down time!

We then tried to figure out what we wanted to do but first we needed to drop off a car and just get into one vehicle. So when the gang was all together it was decided that we would go to World of Coca Cola and the Georgia Aquarium. Man was that a great plan! We had to do it on fast forward though because we had gabbed so much. But in true fashion we made it fun anyway! Here are some of the highlights!

So after all that fun in a short amount of time we headed to Five Points in Atlanta to have some fun running around to some cute shops and getting some yummy warm coffee...we also had dinner at The Vortex! OMG the hamburgers and sweet potato fries were AWESOME!

After that I had my first Trader Joe's experience...I WANT ONE IN AUSTIN!! They had such yummy food at such good prices! I exceeded my weight limit on my suitcase with all the goodies I grabbed at TJ's!

Topped the day off with a GREAT massage!

Thank you for all the fun times ladies! Atlanta will never be the same! :)
