20 Things Thursday...
2 weeks in a row!
Dad...it is all for you!
1. Celebrated LuAnn’s Birthday with her…and it was FUN! Especially the part where we rode out the tornado warnings in a bar drinking Blue Moon!
2. Got to meet Shawn’s mom and eat at the Oasis…it was FUN!
3. Roaming around the bookstore
4. Gelato
5. Shawn and I deciding that we are going to be roommates come September! YEAH!!
6. Brian’s Wedding in Fort Worth
7. Shocking some parents and friends from High School…this is always a good thing!
8. Not DYING because I was SINGLE at a wedding…when did this become such a bad thing?
9. Making it back safe and sound LATE at night from FW
10. Roxie’s Baby Shower (ALWAYS such fun to spend time with those girls)
11. Hanging out with Shawn…having a lazy girl night complete with Rudy’s BBQ
12. Learning about a new show…CAKE BOSS…I LOVE THIS SHOW!
13. Seeing The Hangover…HILARIOUS! And completely inappropriate…but sometimes you just need that!
14. Amy’s Ice Cream…a couple of times this week…with the best one being Dark Chocolate and Coconut mixed together…YUMMY!
15. PF Changs…haven’t eaten here in WELL over 2 years…and it was YUMMY!
16. Chuy’s…again…haven’t eaten there in WELL over 2 years…it wasn’t so yummy, but I am glad I got it out of my system!
17. Redbox…one of the best inventions EVER…movies for $1…sure helps pass the time when you are home and not feeling so hot!
18. Cherries from the grocery store…see…I do remember where the store is!
19. Talking to a friend on the phone on the way to FW…I really missed her and I hope she knows that! And I hope she knows how much it meant for her to listen to me ramble!
20. AND The best thing I did for myself this week…WENT BACK TO WW and attended a meeting. This has been a month or more in the making! It is time to get this train back on the tracks!
***As you can see…there was WAY WAY TOO MUCH eating out and partaking in things that I know aren’t good for me. I have taken the first step and gotten back to the meetings. And I am going to be taking it one day at a time. So far so good today!

She Swims. She Rides. She Runs...She ROX!
So here we are…the Danskin Triathlon weekend is upon us! I can’t believe it is here and I can’t wait for it to start! I will be back Monday, ok maybe Tuesday to give you all the details and show you some pictures…but for now I want to leave you with this!
In 2004 I participated in my first Women’s Adventure Race…I weighed 140 pounds more than I do right now…and I walked 3 miles, swam (or paddled in a boat) for ¼ mile and rode 8 miles on a bike…all while doing fun stuff with my partner. At the end was an obstacle course that I was PRETTY sure was going to kill me…but it didn’t!

What did kill me/motivate me was every race participant, their families and friends, the volunteers, and my family and friends all standing at the finish line…cheering the two of us on. We were the last to finish that day…BUT WE FINISHED! It was the most exhilarating and humiliating experience of my life and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. It made me strive to improve myself so that I would NEVER be in that position again.

This weekend I plan to go out and give it EVERYTHING I have. I will leave NOTHING on the table! I plan to rock my first official triathlon…and then…I plan on cheering in EVERY person that comes across that line after me until the last girl is in!
Whoever crosses that line last…I hope it changes their life as much as it did mine!

Mamarazzi's Favorite Things Swap
Have I ever mentioned that I love SWAPS…I bet not! I do love them! I participated in Mamarazzi’s Favorite Things Swap (she does the BEST SWAPS!) and I was paired up with Stephanie and SHE ROCKS! We had fun sending emails back and forth getting to know each other! Stephanie has an etsy shop where she sells handmade sterling silver jewelry…Janna loves Sterling Silver Jewelry! So not long after we met I ordered this necklace and I fell in love with it when it arrived…
So on to my package!
